Translation / Context — first pass
Handwritten Korean manuscript — first-pass transcription in progress. Kim Il (1910–1984, not to be confused with Kim Il-sung) was one of the most powerful Soviet Korean figures in the early DPRK. He served as Premier of the Cabinet (1972–1976) and held numerous other high positions. Unlike most Soryŏnpʻa, he survived the major purges and maintained a high position, though in a subordinate role to Kim Il-sung. His biography in this collection, at 15 pages, reflects his unusual survival and prominence.
